Experience

NH Certificate of Eligibility 0058647, Chemistry and Physical Sciences Gilbert Hood School Derry, NH 1996 8th Grade Physics Teacher I’ve taught in a full range of substitute teacher positions at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I was a chosen candidate for a Chemistry teaching position at Memorial High School, manchester, NH, and received a warm review and final acceptance from the team there. In the process, they were obligated to use a returning, certified teacher in filling this vacancy. A private sector opportunity soon availed itself, however, and I chose to take the position of Quality Manager with my present employer, RCD Components. Since then, I’ve kept my academic techniques sharpened. I'm a private tutor for Club Z services, a franchise formally owned and operated by John and Beth Lavoie (both college and high school teachers, respectively) of Hudson, NH and now, with the franchise transfer to Viral Maru and Shan Palaniappan, of Learn-At-Ease, LLC. Tutoring has rekindled my purpose, passion and realization to having always been a teacher in heart and mind. I truly enjoy the exchange, the process, and especially with the complexity of the science and math areas, when that magical “light” goes on in their eyes and on their faces – and they get it! I’ve “been there”, and what I can offer to your students is a relevant, “real world” view, formed from a long and varied industrial and scientific career. There are many fantastic opportunities out there for them to experience. I know, through a variety of and fun approaches, that I can spark their interest in discovery and expansion of knowledge in the scientific arena.
