I have a Master Tutor certification from the College Reading and Learning Association. Qualifications for this include: over 75 hours of one-on-one tutoring, participation in a semester of Tutor Development class, presentation to high-school students, training for a specific audience (English language learners/English for speakers of other languages). I also took Exploring Leadership, a two-credit class. I have class-linked with first-year writing class for two years now, meaning I am paired with a specific professor and work with their students on assignments specific to the class. I have presented at conferences including: NELIG (New England Library Instruction Group), NH NHS (New Hampshire National Honor Society, twice), and will be presenting at NEWCA (Northeast Writing Centers Association) and CCNH (Campus Compact for New Hampshire) within the next two weeks. I also attended Leadership College, a workshop for student leaders from various New Hampshire colleges.
